1. The service
Magic Hour Now is a free website that calculates sunrise, sunset, golden hour and blue hour times and can deliver them as a calendar subscription. No account is required.
2. Estimates, not guarantees
Times are calculated with astronomical formulas for a flat, sea-level horizon at the coordinates you choose. They are usually accurate to about a minute, but what you observe can differ because of terrain, buildings, elevation, the atmosphere and the accuracy of the location. Weather and UV information comes from third-party forecasts and may be wrong. Do not rely on the site for navigation, aviation, maritime, safety-critical, legal or religious timing.
3. Acceptable use
Use the site and the calendar feed for your own purposes. Do not disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, send automated traffic at a volume that burdens it, or use the contact form for spam. Linking to any page is welcome.
4. Third-party data
Weather, UV and place-search data are provided by Open-Meteo under the CC BY 4.0 licence; reverse geocoding is provided by BigDataCloud. We do not control their availability.
5. Content
The site’s text, design and code belong to YK TECH INC. The sun-position method is public and published by NOAA.
6. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for missed moments, travel costs or other losses arising from reliance on the times shown. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD 50.
8. Changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the service, and we may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply.
